Course Title: Post Vocational and work readiness - 4 elements
Course description: Our full-time Level E3 to Level 1 courses are supportive, enriching and creative aimed at those who need support to progress to the next stage of their lives or who have struggled before within traditional educational settings. Our trainees benefit from very small class sizes, support work experience and potential mental health support – an exciting and unique alternative to mainstream pathways. All full-time courses are credits-based, so there is flexibility to change subjects and try out different areas. If needed, courses include English and maths.

Number of hours per week: Up to 16 hours per week
Programme length: 1 academic year with the option of a second year
Programme cost Free for 16-18-year-olds and 16-24-year-olds with an EHCP
Who is eligible?
These programme are aimed at those studying at Entry Level 3 or Level 1 and have few GCSEs and need to build work based skills to get closer to employment. We also seek to help those who have struggled past within formal education and have other barriers to learning such as mental health problems or past poor attendance.

For those who really struggle with confidence and new environments we would recommend just a site visit to start with which is less formal and reduces anxiety - this option is included on the application form
Students attend an hour-long taster session in their core subject. This is to give the young person an opportunity to familiarise themselves with Synolos and the staff. After the taster, students then join a small group and are given a timetable and information pack.
We require the completion of a service level agreement for all new school and parents we work with.
