Course Title: KS3 Vocational
Course description: Our KS3 offer is a small offer, designed to help those who are struggling in school and at risk of exclusion. The programme is built around attending a 1-hour session within a vocational subject. These hour-long sessions are designed to support positive behaviour within school and reduce sanctions. As with our KS4 courses, these are supportive, enriching and creative. The young people will benefit from small class sizes of just two per group. This creates a learning environment that has high impact and is student-focused. We work with the individual to identify their strengths and overcome their barriers, giving them sight of their potential. Within a unique environment, we encourage and develop aspirational thinking in each student, giving them confidence to think about their next steps into KS4.

Application process for schools
Please complete the application form.
Once completed, we will arrange for the young person to come for visit and a formal chat.
No decision will be made on the day, contact detailing outcomes will be made with a start date and time via email.
For those who really struggle with confidence and new environments we would recommend just a site visit to start with which is less formal and reduces anxiety - this option is included on the application form
Application process for parents/carers
Students attend an hour-long taster session in their core subject. This is to give the young person an opportunity to familiarise themselves with Synolos and the staff. After the taster, students then join a small group and are given a timetable and information pack.
We require the completion of a service level agreement for all new school and parents we work with.
