How the Destinations Programmes Work
The four Destinations programmes at Synolos are designed to work together as a flexible system of support. While they form part of the same overall approach, they are not intended to operate as a fixed sequence or a set of stepping stones that every young person must follow in order.
Instead, each Destination is a distinct programme in its own right, created to meet young people at different points in their journey.
Every young person arrives with their own experiences, strengths, challenges, and ambitions. For some individuals, outreach support may be the most appropriate starting point. For others, a structured study programme or employment preparation may be the right place to begin. The Destinations model allows Synolos to respond to those differences by offering programmes that can be accessed individually or in combination.
In some cases, a young person may access only one Destination programme. In other situations, individuals may take part in multiple Destinations at the same time, allowing support, education, and employment preparation to run alongside one another in a way that reflects the needs of the individual.
This flexible approach ensures that support is built around the young person, rather than expecting the young person to adapt to a rigid system.
